Ingredients
1½ cup Black Rice
6 Oz of Spam
4 Nori sheets
4 tablespoon furikake
3 tablespoon gluten free soy sauce
1 tablespoon sake
4 tablespoon mirin
2 teaspoon of brown sugar
Directions
Cook Black rice according to package instruction.
Add gluten free soy sauce, mirin, sake, and brown sugar to a bowl and mix well together.
Cut the spam lengthwise into 4 equal pieces. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook spam slices for 2 minutes on each size or until caramelized. Add sauce mixture and cook for 1 minute on each side. Remove from heat.
Get your musubi press and place the nori with the shiny side down. Place the mold on top of the nori. Place rice into the mold and press down rice with a spoon. Sprinkle furikake on top of the rice and add a single layer of cooked spam with the sauce.
Use the top of the musubi press to compress the spam into the rice. Remove mold and wrap the nori sheet over the musubi. Wet your finger with some water and tap on the inside top layer of nori to seal the musubi.
Wet a sharp knife to slice the musubi in half and serve.
